Data reconciliation automation

Dear Community,

I'm struggling a bit with automation right now, maybe you can help me ;)
I am concerned with a data reconciliation between Epics, Stories and Tasks. All 3 have the Components field. Only in the Stories the Components are filled in correctly. I would like to have an automation that every 2 weeks deletes the existing Components in the Epics and instead enters all Components from the Stories located in the corresponding Epic. Likewise, the components from the Tasks should be deleted and replaced by those of the respective story. Is this possible?

Many thanks and best regards
Sebastian

Hi @Sebastian Schwabe ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

With Automation you can create a scheduled rule. In this rule you can periodically copy the values of Components from certain Stories.
See a simple example in the screenshot.

Another option is to use the trigger "Field value changed" so that every time the Components field in a Story is filled in or adjusted, you copy the value to the Epic and/or Task.
