Copy history as markdown into field

I migrated issues from a Team Managed project to a Company Managed project. A field was not created in the Company Managed project so now the data is stored in the history. It looks like it is stored as markdown, but when I copy it to an editor, I can't get it to display correctly. I've tried using https://markdownlivepreview.com/ & NotePad ++. In https://markdownlivepreview.com/ if I manually enter a new line it seems to display correctly, but not if I just copy and paste. Does anybody know how to convert the history into markdown so I can copy and paste it back into the field so it renders with the correct formatting?

Example text from the JIRA history:

{noformat}*AC1a:* An online form can be submitted and will cover: * display relevant and mandatory fields (refer to AC1 for the list of fields and attached document for the sample form) * The landing page to include: If you have questions or need to talk to someone about this referral, * Upload supporting documents on online request form [^1. FVRJ External Referral Form - Final Markup (556cd337-5493-4485-8311-fdd2e19ec632).docx] *AC1b:

Same. I searched for free tools to convert from markdown to RTF but couldn't find any that could work. It's a pity there's no history roll back feature.

I'm sorry you haven't gotten an answer. I'm having the same issue. Did you ever figure out a resolution?
