Can I create new subtask issue type in next-gen project

I'm using jira next-gen project

and I have 1 subtask issue type in my project

but when I need more subtask issue type

I don't know how to create it, because when I create new issue

it always added to same level as task

As per the documentation , creating custom sub-task is not possible for now.

Are there plans to have this feature in the future? Unique subtasks are important for proper hierarchy beyond one or two levels. I would rank this as a missing feature and high on the list of important updates.
