Hi,
We recently upgraded to Jira Premium. This allows us to add multiple issue types (above Epics). We've created a new issue type, called Legend, which are basically used as parent issues to group the Epics. With other words, we're using the Legends as our larger Epics.
In the backlog sprint view you're able to use the left side panel tabs to slide open Version or Epics on the left (see screenshot). If Jira premium allows you to add custom issue types (parents of epics), you would assume you could use these issues to add in this quick tab selection as well, but I doesn't seem possible, right?
Will Jira enable this so we can add our custom issues as tabs next to versions and epics?
Thanks!
Hi @Joran Brasseur ,
unfortunately you can't customize that panel. Btw, my suggestion is to setup some quick filters based on your issue type (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-quick-filters/).
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Hi Fabio,
Thanks for the quick reply! We already created a quick filter, but it's not exactly what we're looking for.
Will Jira be working on these type of features in the nearby future? Adding custom parent issue types is a nice feature, but if Jira doesn't allow these kind of customisations, users won't be able to use them to the fullest.
Hopefully this will be on the 2023 roadmap.
Thanks!
