Automation

Hello, Hope someone is able to offer some advice

I have a kanban board , and im looking to have the following:

When a child issue type is created ( in this case subtasks) it is attcahed and replicates the status of the parent type. Ive set up some automation that when a child issue is created it is transitioned to the status of the parent, but how do i best get it to 'follow' the parent once thats transitioned throughout the flow? Automation stil?

Hi Vicki,

Glad you got that first step created.

You will need a second rule for with a trigger for Issue Transitioned. Then add a Branch and choose the appropriate value. Finally, add a new action for Issue Transition Issue and do like you did for the first step.
