Auto-update of comments

When I'm on a JIRA issue I need to refresh the page to see if any changes happened in the comments. Whether, a colleague has an auto-update of comments in the issues, he does not have to refresh the page.

I can't find any way to configure this.

How can I also have the auto-update of comments ?

I brought this up to Jira Support, and they said this is the way it works in the cloud and you have to manually refresh the pages when you change stuff to get pages to show the updated information.

Hi @Nicolas Charpentier

Apart from the F5 button, there isn't another way to refresh the page. Jira works with async functions, meaning it returns a promise of something and not the actual something. On my instance, if you wait slightly you can see the comments update without doing anything.

Hello Alex,

My experience indicates the opposite. If a comment is updated every 15 seconds,

  • my colleague will see all of the changes.
  • I won't see any change unless I refresh.
