Hey there :)
we are using a service project in Jira. With the Apple device, this works wonderfully and here I can insert images in the fields intended for this purpose. With my Android device I get to the point that the camera opens and I can take a picture. If I then press okay, then it crashes and I can no longer get to the field.
Also, a colleague can't use the Android app to insert any pictures into the fields. However, he can via Apple.
Do you have a tip here? Is this a setting thing of the admin?
Thanks and greetings,
Laura
Hi @Laura Soeder welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I don't believe there is an admin setting for that to separate Android and Apple, however I'm just curious if you have any screenshots of the error messages the Android phone receives?
Are you using the Jira mobile app or directly to the URL using a browser?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Ash
Hello,
thanks for the quick reply!
Unfortunately, there is no error message that I could post here.
It just breaks and then I can't even open this field on my phone.
I go in through the app and have also uninstalled and re-logged in three times.

Have you tried using another android device to rule out if it is just isolated to that one specific android phone?
Can you send a screenshot of what fields currently look like before it breaks?
Kind Regards,
Ash

Hey :)
Yes, we tried it with the same user once at an apple and once at an android.
It did not work on the Android device. It was a different one then i have (but both google (pixel 4 & 7])
That is what I see, when I am in the field. Here I cklick plus for adding a pictures:
After I see this screen, make a photo, and if I then confirm I get back to the opening screen of the ticket and I can't click again on the field, until I close the app and start it again

So this has happened on 2 different android devices correct?
And if you open the project in a browser on the phone (not the Jira app), does the same thing happen?
What I'm thinking is that there might possibly be a bug on the Android app.
Let me know how you get on.

Ash

Hey,
sorry I wasn't at my working place yesterday.
Right, we tested it with a Google Pixel 4a and with a Google Pixel 7.
Via browser I don't have any options to upload a picture. It is the same as at the laptop.
So the way you suggest it I would have to approach Jira once?
Greetings
Laura

Hello,
I appreciate the prompt response.
Unfortunately, I am unable to put an error message here.
I can't access this field on my phone because it simply breaks.
I have deleted the app three times and reinstalled it, in addition to using it to log in.

Thanks for the application suggestions

Hello,
thank you very much for the help!
Then at least I am not alone.
I guess I'll ask Jira about it....
