Hi,

I want to update our notification scheme to send an email notification to specific Jira user every time a "Issue creation" event is triggered. We are using the Jira Data center for our enterprise. Currently the notifications are set for reporter, assignee, watchers. But i want it to also go to one person for all new issues created.

As per this page we can do this in Jira Cloud but can we also do this in Jira Data Center? Please advise

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-notification-schemes/

Thanks

Rama

Hello Rama,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Trudy has posted a good link to get you started. If your requirements call for greater control over notifications, consider a scripting solution as found on the Atlassian Marketplace.

For example, using Power Scripts, you can specify not only reporter, assignee and watchers (as is provided natively by Jira), but you can also send notifications via email to specific users. Another feature available would be to send notifications based on other criteria based on issue status or custom field value.

Regards,

Hyrum

Due to Confluence Cloud security features, you may need to open the documentation posted in incognito mode or by logging out of Confluence.

Please note that I am a product engineer for Power Scripts and that I work for Anova Apps (Appfire).
