Just a quick question about permissions: Does the account that will be making calls have to have the 'Trusted' (or above) role in order to be able to use the API for products on our site?
It depends on what you are trying to do. There are some API's that would require org admin privileges, but for doing things like accessing issue, creating issues, ect, the account just needs permissions to the specific projects where you want the integration to be acting.
