'A subtask cannot be assigned to an epic error' when trying to add a sub-task to a story

Stephen Wilmshurst April 14, 2021

Currently trying to add a sub-task to a story.

Clicking save ignores the actual ticket that I have opened and tries to add the sub-task to the epic for that story/task.

This doesn't happen on any other board or happen to anyone else on the team.

Even stranger, it was working correctly 2 hours ago.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Hi @Stephen Wilmshurst

Is this issue occurring only for a particular story?

Stephen Wilmshurst April 14, 2021

Hi - it's happening for every story on a single board.

I've been doing a bit of troubleshooting. I just switched browsers and the problem isn't there. Suspect that something has gone wrong and Chrome has 'saved the problem' in the cache(?)

@Stephen Wilmshurst

If this is happening only in Chrome, its most probably a cache issue. To confirm, try to open an incognito window in Chrome and try to perform the operation. If it is successful, you just need to clear the cache and may be cookies too.

Yes - that is the case. Thanks for your help.
