Why is the automation rule for setting 'Security Level' failing ?

henal bangdiwala June 12, 2024

I have set up an automation rule for setting 'Security Level' but its failing in spite of adding the field in the issue type screen.

The security icon is appearing on the issue, however the desired security level is not being selected based on the condition in the automation rule.

Hi Henal - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Can you share some screenshots of  your rule and the error message you are getting?

Is the Security Level field on the Create and Edit screens?

henal bangdiwala June 13, 2024

Yes, it has been added in both these screens. The lock icon is also appearing on the issue view screen. I am able to select the security level manually, just the automation rule doesn't seem to be working.

Maybe try the Permission helper for the project in the Permission scheme and use the same issue key and user and use the Set Security Issue permission.
