Question about asset management asset confirmation

Hello,

Our company is looking into the asset management feature of Jira Service Management Premium and one question came up that we couldn't find an answer to.

Can we make it so that users have to sign for the assets that they are assigned? Also can the same be done when the assets are returned?

Hi Levente, 

Good move to start using asset management. That will open up a new world! 

Can you elaborate on the requirements around the  "sign" functionality you are after? Sign as in a physical or digital  signature or are you open for any kind of digital trace that the owner acknowledge that they have received the asset?

You can use Jira SM to get the owner to acknowledge the hand out via a portal visible transition button perhaps? that +  an automation that update the an attribute perhaps?
