Hello,
We have a request type with detailed help and instructions. Unfortunately, upon clicking on the request type, the form opens up a the start of the questions. Because the form has detailed instruction on how to fill it out, we are looking for a way to make the form start from the top (i.e the help and instructions). Is there a way to enable this behavior in the request type.?
Thanks!
Hello @Zeerak Khurshid ~ I've escalated to Atlassian Support. Perhaps they can provide you with an acceptable solution.
Hi @Zeerak Khurshid , thanks for your question. JSM doesn't provide a way out of the box to put a Form at the very top of a Request form (the Customer screen). The Summary field always comes first, although there is a text field for instructions above that. Would moving your instructions from the Form to the Instructions field at the top of the Request Form work for your case? (Edit -- replaced image with the CORRECT instructions field!)
If not, you can check the Atlassian Marketplace for third-party apps that can help you.

Thank you for your answer, Susan. Our instance does not have that ability. I believe that works for Cloud but we employee Data Center.

Ah, my apologies. I hope you find a solution, good luck!

I'm not sure if this is customizable within Jira Service Management Data Center. I created a support case on your behalf over in https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/41/PSSRV-162327
Someone from that support team should be better able to see if there are other options here.

Hey Zeerak, that sounds like a frustrating issue! Have you checked if there’s an option to adjust the form’s default scroll position or maybe an anchor link to start at the instructions? Sometimes tweaking the form settings or adding a bit of custom script (if possible) could help. Hope you find a solution!
