Hello - I need to set up an Issue Statistics gadget in my dashboard directly from a filtered view of two issue types under the same project. Why is this not available?
Hello @abustard
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Are you working with Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center?
It appears to me that the native Issue Statistics dashboard gadget in Jira Cloud does support specifying a filter for the source data.
You would have to create and save a filter that selects the issues you want. Then you can select that saved filter in the gadget configuration.
@Trudy Claspill - Thank you so much! All I was missing was to add it by the Filter Name and not the ticket Type. I appreciate your help with this. Would you happen to know if there's a way to customize the order of the assignees? I can see a filter by ascending and descending, based on number of tickets. I don't see an alpha numeric sort option or an ability to drag and drop the order of the names within the gadget. Do you know if this is something Atlassian may be working on? Thank you again!

There is no option currently available to manually customize the order of the displayed values for the Statistic field. Only Total and Natural are available for Sorting.
You can search Atlassian public backlog to see if there are any change requests related to this:
https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
Alternately you can have you Jira Administrators open a support request directly with Atlassian to see if they can provide any information.

Thanks for your help @Trudy Claspill ! If needed we'll ask the JIRA admins to open a support request ticket directly with Atlassian. Have a great day!
