Is there a way to collect any stats from the Service Desk Widget

The Service desk widget is a pretty simple and easy way to provide support from within an application and link to confluence articles.

Is there a way to get any status about how and if users are using it? Is anything planned along these lines?

For example, Service desk has the "Requests Deflected" report, but the widget doesn't seem to feed into this report or anywhere else that I can find.

Hi William,

I have not really been able to find much information on reporting off this.  The Widget is relatively new to Jira Service Desk Cloud.

But with this in mind I found that issues created with this widget do have a different creator than issues created via other methods.  As such we can use this as a means to track this data.

If you go to search for issues in Jira, and then use the advanced searching option you can use a JQL syntax of:

creator="Jira Service Desk Widget"

This will return all the issues that were created via this widget.  With this information you could then either export this data or filter it down to see other details.

I hope this helps.

Andy

Thanks, this is a good start. I created a custom report showing cases created using the widget so at least we can tell if people are creating cases through it.image.png
