We have the Atlassian sandbox for Jira Service Manager that we have copied data down from production, but I don't see any documentation on promoting changes from the sandbox to prod. Does anyone have any documentation on doing this, or has anyone successfully done it?
Unfortunately, that´s not the way the sandbox works, since it is a mirror copy of your production instance for you to test and make changes, the thing is that once you finish the testing, you need to manually make the changes on the production environment.
Here is a link with documentation regarding the Sandbox feaute:

If you have further questions, just let me know.

Can we get a solution that negates the need to manually replicate changes, configuration takes time and documenting those configurations takes even longer

I agree. We are completely re-working our support process. I am setting up our new processing in sandbox and recently discovered there is no way to roll those changes across to production :/ we really need this.

I did have a thought on this topic as a trivial solution. I haven't got a good enough understanding of the architecture to be sure it would work.
Has anyone just treated sandbox their primary instance and configured prod for testing changes. That way you can effectively deploy from Sandbox to Production
The idea might be worth exploring :)
