I am in the middle of a cloud migration and I have a question about a minor difference between server and cloud that is causing a small headache.
In server the numbered list format uses all numbers for indented points, where cloud uses a mix of numbers and letters. My users using Xray to manage their tests and because of this there is a discrepancy in the "numbering" between the field and Xray.
Is there a way to configure the field to use the all numbered system from server?
Server Example:
Cloud Example:
No this can't be changed in the field.
How does the numbering relate to the Xray test setup you are using?
When the numbered list is pulled into XRay, the Acceptance Criteria from the field is numbered correctly, this results in the client seeing line item "b" where the tester sees "2" in Xray.

I check and yes this is the case.
I can't tell you why this is different, but for visibility it makes sence, to me at least.
You might need to change and adapt on the way of working between clients and testers need to work together
I don't see that the field rendering will be changed.
You can raise it at Atlassian Support of course.

I am not familiar with Xray product, have you already check with the vendor for possible technical support on this migration topic?
Sorry.

Thank you for your reply!
The Xray side of things is working correctly in this instance and what I am looking to change is native Jira functionality.
