Error when setting attribute as a label for objects in Assets

Mariana Sales December 4, 2022

I'm trying to change the label of an attribute but I get this error:

"To label this attribute, you need to specify at least one value on all objects within the affected object type"

I don't understand why this is occurring, it's just in some objects.

Hi @Mariana Sales

The label of an object cannot be empty because it is what the object is known as. The error is now informing you that to use the attribute as a label, you must first set a value for the attribute in all existing objects and only then can you set said attribute as the label.

My recommendation is to check which object has a null value for the attribute and update these. Once done, go ahead and set the attribute as a label.

Hi @Ismael Jimoh

Thanks for your response! It was definitely that, my objects had null values.

Now it's working. Thanks!
