Hello,

 

I have setup an email in my JIRA account but when i try to test it and send an email from outlook, it doesnot come through in issues. Instead it shows as a Failure. 

I have attached a screenshot for your reference. Can you please assist.

Hi Umair,

For a request type to be valid for email requests it's necessary to have the fields Summary and Description visible. To fix that, please go to the Project settings > Request types > Select the request type that has a label "Email" > Edit fields.

Then you must check if the Description is shown and if not, you can click on "Add field" to add this field that is missing. Note that for email requests all other fields must be optional, only Summary and Description can be required.
