Does Service Desk allow you to link an existing project to an existing service desk? Also, does it allow multiple projects to link to one service desk?

Currently, we have one service desk setup. It was created prior to projects being setup. Now we have many projects and we want to link them to this previously configured service desk. Is this possible or do you have to create a new service desk? On that same note, do we have to create multiple service desks, 1 for each project?

Thanks!

@Michelle M. Madison, what do you mean by "link". Projects aren't linked w/in Jira/JSD. Are you saying that you have multiple instances (installations) of Jira/JSD and you want them on a single instance? Are you on cloud or server? You mention you have one service desk setup but prior to projects being set up, however, having a service desk setup implies that you have a project set up for that service desk. So...a bit confused.

See if any of this helps:

  • you can add JSD application to your Jira instance or vice-versa
  • for JSD you can have many projects and each project will incorporated under the same portal for your customer. Of course you can control which customer see which projects w/in the portal.
