Do not want reporter to be notified of response on ticket

On a Service Desk we need to communicate with someone who is not the Reporter. Both Reporter and Non Reporter people are external customers. We use the Email button to send the email to the person who is Non Reporter. We would like for the response from the Non Reporter to NOT notify the Reporter. Has anyone had this scenario and found a way to make it work?

Hi Dan,

You are not able to have it send the notification to the Reporter sometimes and not other times. It either notifies them or it doesn't. 

Now, having said that, you would turn off the notifications to the Reporter and handle everything using Automation rules.

Hi @Dan Rushing ,

 

I haven't seen a way to exclude the reporter based on the non-reporter responding to a ticket. I've only seen the option of removing reporter from the notification scheme but then that would remove the reporter in all cases even when the reporter does respond to the ticket. Maybe that's ok if you don't want the reporter to notified at all for the project.
