In my organization we need our customers to access the service desk but can't access the internal jira instance. it's possible?

There is also an open feature request for what you've described. The Service Desk team is looking in to how best to implement this sort of restriction.

Hi Eric,
If you are using a proxy you could see if you could simply redirect all requests for the JIRA Dashboard to the Service Desk.
I don't think it's possible in JIRA.
