Creator field not showing on issue view

Hey 👋

for some use cases, we need to have the creator of an issue beside the reporter information.

I added the field to the request type view in the context section, but it is not shown at all on the issue itself.

When trying to add the creator field to the view screen of the issue, it is not in the list at all.

What is the correct way, to get the creator information on to the issue view?

We cannot display "Creator" field in issue view. Already there is an suggestion request. You can vote and watch for the updates.

Workaround:

Create a single user custom field and add in required issue type screens.
Create project automation as below
Issue created --> Edit issue --> select Custom field created and copy value from Creator.

Please note: I have used Approver2 field as an example.

As an alternative solution, you can easily create a custom field of single user picker type and add this field in to the create, view or edit of the desired issue type.

Hello, any ideas, why I have no such option?

It is added to screens, etc., but for some reason I cannot choose Creator field.

If I choose any of the Copy fields, it does not open any dialog to choose from either.

EDIT:

Found it why. It has COPY setting:

Somehow I've never noticed it before.

Leaving this message, as I think it might be helpful for others.
