Changing the index of a project

I am considering changing the index of a project we have. The project contains about 8000 records and the scope includes other projects with issues that link. I am pretty sure that the 8000 records will reindex on their own, but not sure about the URL's used by other issues to reference them. Also, looking for suggestions, opinions, and any experience performing this action.

Hi Adam,

What do you mean by "changing the index of a project"?  The index cannot be configured by project, it's a global thing, and as a Cloud user, you have no access to the indexing settings either.
