Hello,

I Need to create a form for onboarding and I want to create some automation in the form so that when an answer is chosen, it fills out another field with predetermined answers.

For example:

1st Field:

Department of the new Employee:

Multiple choice: Marketing - IT - Engineering - Development

2nd field: Email groups

Depending on the choice of the 1st field, it will fill this section:

-Marketing@

-Engineering@

-etc

So If they choose Marketing, the email group will automatically be marketing@

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Nils

Hi @Nils Bertrand,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

No, currently it is not possible to do this in automation. Atlassian is working on releasing an API for forms that is scheduled for Q2 2023 according to the public roadmap. I have a similar use case and I am using Assets to work around it. In my case my form has a field for department and depending on which one is selected you have a set of approvers that needs to added to the request. So the department field in forms is linked to a Jira field and once the request is submitted my automation is looking up the department in Assets and applies the approvers based on it.
