×In my object schema in Jira Assets I have limited some object types to certain users by using roles.
I have also enabled access to the object schema for customers so I can use some of the object types in the customer portal (but not the ones I have restricted using roles).
When a user is just in the servicedesk-users-group the restrictions to the object types working fine. But a user who is additional in the customers group can see all object types, even the restricted ones.
Does enabling access for customers overwrite the permissions for the object types? If not, what could be the reason that a user with custommer access sees the restricted object types?
Welcome to the community.
This is correct, you grant the customer group view, this means anyone in the customer groups, who also has a licensed Jira account can view the assets now.
Customers in the group with no licensed Jira account can see the details provided in the asset custom fields on the portal.
The fact is that this is not overwriting another permission, but granting groups different permissions and members in this group having Jira licenses or not.
