How to connect jira timelines with an idea? Base it on sprints (monthly overview is good enough)

We want to communicate by month what is planned to be delivered based on sprints. Is there a way to do that? Ideas might have different deliverables in different sprints and we just want to show the last one as delivery.

What you could do is:

1. Create a "Sprint" (multi select) field and specify values for your sprints e.g. "Sprint 1", "Sprint 2", "Sprint 3". You can color them too. If you wish to display the color at the left side of the Idea card, make sure to turn on the slider below the color palette for each sprint value.

2. You can use the Plan view to display your ideas. In order to display the Sprints on the card you need to:

• Assign sprint(s) to the Idea ticket
• Make the Sprint field visible on the card by going to the "Fields" menu (in the Plan view), then find the "Sprint" field and turn on the "Add to view" slider.

If you would like to automatically derive the sprint from the associated with the idea delivery tickets, you need to check if the automation could copy the Sprint value from the delivery ticket (when it is set there) to the multi-select Sprint field in the JPD project. 

Since the automation for JPD currently has some limitations, I am not sure if this is already possible but maybe someone from the JPD team can advise if it would be possible.

You can also add other fields to the card to e.g. display the actual delivery progress. Check what is available in the Fields list.
