Date fields linked

For Date fields, would it be possible to link two of them, one as starting and one as end. That way if the starting has a date of Oct 2026, the earliest suggestion for the end time would be Oct 2026. And not Oct. 2024 like it happens now.

Hi @Eduardo Calvillo

The date fields used by JPD have a "start" and "end" value to make a range.  Only the global / company managed ones are a single value.

Have you tried to set both the start and end for your field, perhaps with automation?  I believe in the UX, a single date value is used for both (except when a Quarter is selected).

Also...if you wanted to have two, separate JPD fields, one could use an automation rule to update one field based on the value of the other one.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hey @Eduardo Calvillo

It's not possible to provide you smart suggestion on potential end dates based on the value you've added in another field that would be the start date.

Eventually, if you want the dates to be a bit "smarter", you can use a timeline view and place your idea in drag and drop directly onthe roadmap (so the end will necessarily be after the start date.

Check out this short demo
