Sorting as Contributor

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
While using List View as Creator you have access to all things to filter and sort, even on the column directly.
Whereas as a Contributor, it seems you can only consume the view with predefined settings (which is ok) but not able to sort columns which would be very useful.
Am I missing something ?

Apologies on the delay here. Contributors should be able to sort the columns within the views, but it seems like you having (or had) a different experience?
After testing as a contributor, I am able to sort any of the existing columns in a view (but as a contributor I am not able to add more fields into the view - this is a creator permission):
