Problem when trying to change a JIRA ticket's status

Hello there, I am using JIRA for my work with VW. Today I created a ticket whose status I wanted to change from "open" to "in coordination". However, as I clicked on the button to begin that I got the following error:



What can I do to resolve the problem? Thank you all in advance for your help.

@nhd nhd  - a better screen shot with the text of the error would be amazing.   

Best guess here is that your Jira Admin has set up some workflow logic that don't allow the status to be changed unless certain conditions are met.

Another guess is that there is some transitional screen that violates the workflow conditions. 

Final guess is you are saying "you created" --- did you try to change the status from New/Created into the In Coordination in one go?  Perhaps you have to save the new Jira Issue first, then move it to In Coordination.  This is also a workflow logic :)

Welcome to the community !!

There seems some conditions are not met to transition the ticket to  "in coordination". May be some fields should be updated etc. 

Please contact your jira or project admin. They need to check the Workflow validators.
