Migrating out of beta plan

Hi, I'm confused by the desciption of how to move out of the beta plan.

It says "any user on this site can contribute". But the description says "if they are part of this group...". So what needs to happen?

In the group, it looks like I have to add every user individually. How can I allow this for everyone in the org?

image.pngThen in this group there is the product section, but it is empty. Do I have to add JPD or is there some implicit magic?

Then there is this config within JPD, is this additive or is this alternative?

And finally, once I add users to this group, they are counted as user (I understand this is creators), even though the group says "contributors". So subscription details give 2 as users in ths case.

As I understand it, from the plethora of emails Atlassian has sent, Creators need product access. Nobody else does. The "jira-product-discovery-contributors-..." group is specifically for users without a Jira license that you want to give "Contributor" access to the product (i.e. someone external or someone with only a confluence license). Any user within your instance, with a Jira license, is implicitly considered a contributor. The users would need to be configured within the project as contributors to have access to the project and be able to create ideas, but they have the "contributor" ability without having to be placed into the "contributor" group simply because they are Jira licensed.

Hi @KB , @Gary Spross is exactly right here. Add users to the group in your screenshot, then you'll need to add those users as contributors to the project from project settings.

So I understand I do not need to touch the ira-product-discovery-contributors group at all for my Jira users. But only add "all users" to the project access?

I basically set it up this way with the "all users from g suite" group.

I also wonder why "all creators on the site" is project role "contributor" and I cannot change it.

Thanks a lot.

@KB

To add users with Jira access as contributors: In each project, add the users with the project role as Contributor.
To add users without Jira access as contributors: Add the users to the jira-product-discovery-contributors, then in each project add the users with the project role as contributor.
