Issue Field Scheme/Configuration

Hi,

me and my team are using JPD in production already and are very happy!

We have created a project as a high level roadmap and several other projects for different products.

Is it possible having the same issue/idea field configuration on every project? Because we want to move ideas form the product projects to the high level project with the same field etc.

We don't want to configure every new project from scratch. (Creating new fields etc.)

And is there a way to save and share views from the high level project to other projects so they could be used for the product projects as well incl. formulas etc

Hi @Sebastian Pechhold ,

Just clarifying - in this context is a board a different JPD project?

No problem! I wanted to make sure before I responded.

It looks like JPD is using Jira’s “Team Managed” model for now that favours tailored and rapid changes over “Company Managed” consistency. The team I think have mentioned previously they may consider ways to create a new project from existing config but it’s not possible today.

I’ve worked around some of this by keeping everything in the same project, but having a field to define project/product. I then use this to filter views. It means you might be maintaining a lot of views, but it works for me.
