Is there a way to customise the amount of ratings in the Ratings Field?

Currently I can see the default is 5 but I'd like to know if you can, or if there will be functionality available to, edit this down to say 3 ratings?

Hi @Claire Prosser this isn't customisable at the moment. However you can achieve this by creating a multi-select field with options for 1,2,3 or any other scale you would prefer.

Hi Rohan,

Thanks for coming back to me on this. I'm looking to create a formula based off the 'value', but I believe multi-select is a 'count' - is that correct? If so, will it identify the field as 1, or will it pick up the numbering as part of the multi-select options? So for example if I picked 3 as an option, would it recognise 3 as a value or would it display 1 as a count?

Hi @Claire Prosser correction: This should be a select field not a multi-select. Once it's a select field the value can be used in custom formulas. Please see the example below. My custom formula expression is {Story point estimate}*2Screenshot 2023-07-11 at 11.15.58 am.png

Hi @Rohan Swami - your example doesn't work though as the SPE x2 column should show 6 when the estimate is 3 but it only shows 2?? 

Is there a way to limit the choices you put in a field and it pick up that value. So in this example it would pick up the value 3 and return 6. Or if you changed the SPE column to a number field could you limit the min and max range that can be entered?
