I cannot seem to use custom text fields to filter Ideas

I can sort Ideas using a custom text field (e.g. Customer Account Name), but I cannot seem to filter my view using this field. 

I can write a JQL query in Jira Software to filter my Ideas with this field, so I'm not sure why I can't in JPD.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

Hi Taronish, 

It is not possible to filter by short text field, so we would recommend using a select or multi-select field specifically for customers' accounts. 

unfortunately, if you are using this field type because it's being populated by a 3rd patty integration, it is not possible yet to use JQL to filter views, but we are planning to bring some more advanced filtering features in Jira Product Discovery.

I understand you cannot filter by the values in the short text field.  But is it possible to filter on whether that short text field is null vs, not null?
