Chrome extension not working with telegram

Since there are not good integrations to add ideas/insights, we wanted to use web version of telegram (web . telegram . org) together with the chrome extension to allow for relatively friction-less entry. Unfortunately, you are not able to write any text in the description field as the focus is always on the chat text field. With other web-chat applications it behaves correctly (e.g. whatsApp).

Any chance of fixing this?

Hi Tomas,

The Chrome extension is more suitable to capture insights coming from blogs, or ticketing systems. Not from messaging apps. Can you please explain to us what's the use case here, are your customers sending you telegram messages for feature requests?
But I would say - and that's the same for e-mails - that using the Chrome extension isn't really made for "private" conversations, because it will capture the link of the page you're on, and so if you're on email or your WhatsApp, this is accessible only to you, so no other user will be able to visit this insight. So it's not something we are planning to improve at the moment.

Cheers,

Hermance

We have dedicated telegram group for each client. In the telegram groups we are having business discussions, feedback is provided, features are suggested. These are not private DMs or "private" conversations, but group chats with defined access groups on both sides.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I think you are in the wrong place, your question does not seem to be about an Atlassian system.  I suspect you have clicked on "help with the system in use for documentation or issue tracking" instead of "help with the product".

The issue is with chrome extension for Jira Product Discovery. What is a good place to report bug with the extension? I thought this is the "Jira Product Discovery" community group.

Ok, you didn't explain it was the mobile app.

We see a lot of posts here where people are not asking about an Atlassian product, and not explaining that, hence my answer.

Now we know it's a mobile app for JPD rather than JPD itself, yes, you're probably in the right place to ask.

The usual place to report a bug is https://support.atlassian.com/contact but I don't know if the extension was written by Atlassian or someone else.  If you could check that, then try the contact form if it's an Atlassian thing, or look for the vendor support if it is not.

The Chrome extension is part of Jira Product Discovery and has been developed by us: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-product-discovery/docs/learn-to-install-and-use-the-chrome-extension/

However, there is no JPD mobile app.

My feedback is not about mobile app. This is a web application (page) at web.telegram.org which our agents access via Chrome/Chromium from their desktop computers running Windows or Linux.
