Change timeline view to display quarters and not months as headings

I'm experimenting with the timeline view. I want to use quarters to display data, but the view uses months to showcase the quarters, and while the months correspond to the quarter, it's causing some issues with folks considering this to be more of a release plan.

Ex:

Is it possible to update the column headings to display something like Q1 2024, Q2 2024, Q3 2024, Q4 2024?

Hi @Sufian Siddiqi

I haven't found a way to do this in product discovery. Switching from Months to Quarters gives me the same view you have.

As an alternative, if you really want to see your quarters laid out as Q1, Q2, and so on, you can try checking the Atlassian marketplace.

One app, you can try is Visor. It's free, secure, and stays in sync with your Jira data. To get the Q1, Q2, and Q3 shown in the screenshot below, select the Gantt View, then make your timeframe "Quarters and Weeks."

Find Visor on the Atlassian marketplace, here https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1226209/visor-spreadsheet-gantt-chart-?tab=overview&hosting=cloud

Let me know if this helps or if you have more questions,

We'd use the 'plan' tool within Jira SW if we wanted a gantt chart, but that's not what I'm after. I'm looking to not mention months when using quarters in JPD.

Thanks for the input, Michael :)
