I noticed only the admin can change the reporter of the JPD idea.
Is this an admin only feature? Seems odd that the creator role or even the contributor themselves cannot change the reporter as they might be creating/editing/submitting ideas on behalf of other users.
Hi @Joel Tan ,
As @Tere Pile - modifying reporters is a global permission under the Permission schemes tab:
but only Creators can modify the Reporter (if permitted). Contributors do not have this permission regardless of whether this permission is enabled or not.
Hi @Nick Haller, Is that a valid answer? As per my understanding and based on what I can see in JPD/Jira Cloud, JPD does not use Permission schemes and it behaves more as Team Managed projects. At the same time, above screenshot presents rights from certain pemission scheme not a Global Permission. On the other hand, as long as I'm not mistaken, 'Modify Reporter" is not a global permission.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Modifying a reporter field is likely dependent on your global defaults for that field, which in our case is project admins only.
Modifying the 'creator' fields by admin - I was told is on the roadmap for JPD
I would not want a contributor to have these permissions but that's me.
