Compass significantly beefs up the component field imho and motivates to use components Jira-project-wide in a well-defined and consistent way.
Are there any plans in JPD to support the Components field, as well?
Hi @Jan-Hendrik Spieth , thanks, we'll add that to the list. It's not something we're planning to support in the short term. Before that we have things like the "teams" field that the rest of Jira supports for example.
Ok, thanks @Tanguy Crusson! Syncing Teams also definitely makes sense. Wondering where that goes btw, Point-A-wise, ... Atlas teams, Compass teams, ... ;-)

We'll basically use the same "teams" component you can see under the "People" tab in Jira. Atlas is doing a lot with this already.

@Tanguy Crusson , if you use a shared "Teams" component, would this require Atlas?
We currently manually mirror Component in JPD from the Company Managed (Engineering) Projects. Having a Component in JPD provides us with greater granularity when we want to group Ideas by Team.

@Seth Mason Atlas uses the same directory as what you have in the "people" tab in Jira. So whenever we add this field it will work whether you use Atlas or not
