📣 Bug fixes & improvements (Jan-Feb)

Hi everyone! 

As you know, most of our team is busy working on getting Jira Product Discovery to general availability (more to come soon, I promise 😊) 

However, we also have a dedicated team working on fixing the bugs you've raised, and suggestions you put forward that would improve your experience on Jira Product Discovery. We wanted to share some of these recent improvements with you! 

Usability

• Added a “Collapse all” button for the list view: Tired of collapsing your groups one by one? You can now hit the collapse all button in the top line of the list view.
• Use Grammarly: We had a few bugs that were preventing to use Grammarly with Jira Product Discovery, you can now write down your specs without thinking about typos.
• Edit an insight URL: You had to delete an insight in order to modify its link, you can now simply edit the URL.
• Added negative impacts to weighted formulas 

Reliability

• Added an information screen when deleting a field: You are now prompted with all the views that are still using this field in their configuration. This is to avoid that you delete a field that was configuring board columns or matrix axis and then be provided with an empty view 😱
• Adding a confirmation prompt when deleting an insight
• Fixed faulty timestamps on view visitors (you can see this information in the top right corner of a view, next to the view comments)
• Fixed: Jira Product Discovery was laggy when navigating in a long list of options in a multi-select field, with several seconds of latency when this field was added to a view 

Editor improvements

• Added support for @mentions and custom emojis in fields descriptions
• Added rich text to vote fields
• Added auto-save on field description, idea comments, view comments, votes comments, and insights descriptions (pfew!) as they were lost when if clicked outside
• Fixed cropped idea description editor in smaller screens, and cropped links in view comments.

Other bugs

• Fixed display bugs related to permissions (greying out options to show a user doesn’t have permissions)
• Fixed a bug that was preventing Jira Product Discovery to work when global issue linking was disabled (we don’t recommend disabling global issue linking, but at least now you can continue accessing your Jira Product Discovery projects :) )
• Fixed a bug that was preventing to save view configuration after deleting a field
• Fixed bugs related to long field names in formula descriptions
• Fixed bugs related to long idea names in board view and timeline view
• Fixed bugs groups on board and timeline where overlapping sidebars
