Logging who ran manual rules

Deleted user February 17, 2017

I've got a manual rule setup but I want to track who ran the rule - I can't see that in the audit log, am I missing something or is there another way to add that detail to the issue/task/story?

Thanks!

Hi Saskia,

Sorry for the slow response. For some reason answers.atlassian.com didn't send us a notification e-mail about this question!

So you can use the 'initiator' smart value to print the user who initiated a manual execution.  You can add a 'Log action' to your rule like this for example:

Project automation - Code Barrel JIRA 2017-02-21 13-33-10.png

So

{{initiator.displayName}}

will access the user's full name.

It's something we should probably log for all rule executions automatically - I've raised https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-184 now to track this!

Cheers,
