How to allow to update created date of the issue

You don't.  Created date really is supposed to reflect when the issue was entered into JIRA, so altering it is simply wrong.

You can specify it when doing imports - it's a valid thing to do then, because the issue could have been raised in another system at another time.  But that's the only case where it's valid.

Hi NIc,

Thanks, the reason I am looking for update\while entering the issue allow to select date because we do have backdated issues which have to be in the JIRA.

Also do receive issue\task via email and which may not captured immediately in the JIRA.

Regards
Siva

Created date is for "when it was logged in JIRA". Nothing else.

If you need a different "this happened at" date/time, that's fine, add a custom field for it.
