Adding Users to Groups

In the upgraded version of Atlassian I cannot add users to a group, as I keep on getting an error asking me to try again in a few minutes.

I am a site adminstrator and this is becoming frustrating for my user community, as I could do this before plus I can no longer see how many users we have for Jira and Confluence to indicate if I need to do any housekeeping.

Can anybody please advise?
