A couple things to add to Allan's reply.

  1. In addition to making sure you have the Analyst or Product Owner Role, you need to make sure you are assigned as a member of the sprint. If you are listed as a Team Member with the appropriate role but are not also assigned to the sprint, you will not have Accepted available. Team > Sprints Tab > select sprint in question
  2. I'm not sure if this is still true or not, but at one point, if you were not listed as the person in the Assigned field, you also would not be able to Accept even if #1 is accounted for.

I guess the first thing I would look at is your Team Role (not to be confused with your System Role).  Not every Team Role may accept Stories.  See this page for some guidance:  https://help.jiraalign.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011738413-10X-Assign-Team-Roles

I am listed as a Scrum Master.  I can accept Features but sometimes not stories.  I will investigate further.

@Kurt Smith You would need the Team Role of Product Owner or Analyst. Those are the only roles that can accept stories in Jira Align. Analyst role is a hybrid role of Scrum Master and Product Owner. If you are serving both roles, I would recommend using Analyst as your Team Role.
