Sync kanban boards between Jira and JA

Hello,

We are trying to sync kanban work between Jira and JA. I'm aware that when we create a board in JA using board ID, JA will create a scrum team and team room with respective sprints in JA.  My question is, will JA also create a respective Kanban board if we create a board using Jira Kanban board ID in JA? If not, how to sync kanban board created in Jira to JA?

Thank you.

When you add a board to Jira Align (via Administration | Jira Management | Jira Boards) that will set up a new team in Jira Align.

One team in Jira Align will be matched up with one board in Jira.

If the team is a Kanban team, and isn't using sprints, when you add that team's kanban board into Jira Align, you can also specify that team is a Kanban team. That way, Jira Align won't try to line up sprints, will track dependencies by dates instead of sprint boundaries, and will track the team's throughput differently than if it were a Scrum team.
