Hey guys, how are you doing?
We've came up with a couple questions from a customer, that I'd like to bring to discussion here at the community...
Best Regards!
How do you handle the Jira Software vs Jira Align licenses? The 4 to 1 ratio suffice the needs?Yes, most delivery team members will continue doing their work in Jira. If they want to come over to Jira Align to take advantage of a few team level features like the Team Room, Planning Poker,... the 4 integrated user licenses will be sufficient. Beyond that, Scrum Masters and Product Owners generally start in Jira Align, as they need a broader vantage point. That's where the full licenses are needed, affording them to operate at a team of teams level.
Sometimes, team members complain or have concerns regarding Jira Align Usability? If yes, which are the most common points they usually bring? There is a lot of capabilities within Jira Align. Concerns can be managed by providing some lightweight training before turning them loose in the system. Also, configure user roles to hide navigation and capabilities that would not add value to them.
Even though Jira Align has lots of reports, have you ever came up with the need for a new Report? If Yes, how did you guys managed that?Absolutely, as your organization evolves or desires integrating data with other systems, you can extend your reporting capabilities through the API and through the use of Enterprise Insights. Enterprise Insights is a data warehouse that structures Jira Align data to either be linked with a data lake or to create reports via Tableau or Power BI.
Hi Derek,
Do you have a benchmark of companies using API to consume information from Jira Align, such as Objective and Key Results data? This has been one of our biggest challenges.
Thank you!
Regards!
