hipchat server 2 network configuration

After deploying hipchat server to a VM in virtualbox I have run the command on the installation guide to configure a static IP.

I confirmed that /etc/network/interfaces shows the correct data.

However running the command

> hipchat network --show

only shows the given IP address.

Gateway is showing None

I don't have access to the internet
