If we migrate to Slack, will the users be the same through Atlassian Account, or is it a new User-management?
What happens, if there is already an account at Slack with our domain someone created in the past including users?
What happens to HIPChat Karma (Users don't wanna loose there karma....)

Atlassian Team members are employees working across the company in a wide variety of roles.

Hi Jamie,

Slack uses a different user management, which is not linked to Atlassian Account.

In Slack there are different options to choose from, if there are matching accounts.
One of the options is to merge them.
Slack has an import guide that explains the available options at Import Hipchat data to Slack, please have a look.

As for HIPChat Karma.
Slack uses a different bot, so users will loose their Hipchat Karma data
