Installing HipChat trial, do I need to setup my own postgress server?

I recently downloaded the trial version for the onsite hipchat server. I really just need to get in and test it out to see if this product will work for a project we are working on. 

I know that I need a postgres server for hiphat to work, my question is if there is a virtual machine with postgres already presetup for the trial that I can download?  Or do I need to go through and set it up from scratch just to test hipchat?

Hi Robert,

As an alternative you could also still install Hipchat Server, which does not require you to install a postgress server.

Yes, you do need to set up Postgres; it is a hard requirement of Hipchat Data Center. Please refer to the following guidelines for details:
