Sometimes Jira does not link to Jira-key in commit comment via Crucible

Users are making commits to a git repository and using Crucible to see the JIRA key in the comment and integrate with the JIRA item.

It appears that if the comment (commit) line begins with the JIRA key, it works fine. We see the 'commit' under Development (formerly known as the source tab).

If the key appears later in the line, it is ignored, as in:

  • Make spinner not clickable during starting state - HELIXSC-144
  • Defect fixes. HELIXSC-140 Clone button clickable when disabled.
  • Defect fixes. HELIXSC-143 home button renamed to overview HELIXSC-52 it should not.

Is the - (with spaces) in front of the JIRA key, confusing it, like it's a smart commit, bullet list item or something?

We are using Crucible 3.5.4 and JIRA 6.3.14.

Thank you,

John
