Restricting users from AD to see all other Jira projects

Rashmi February 28, 2023

Hi!

I am trying to restrict them from seeing all projects in jira. I have created a group for them , given that group application access and assigned them to a permission scheme with very limited permissions. and used that permission scheme in just one project in which they are supposed to work but still when we login with the consultant account we see other projects as well.

Can anyone tell me what I can do more?

Regards,

Rashmi

Hey Rashmi,

For the projects that they aren't supposed to see but still can, try checking the permission scheme and look for "Any logged in user".  That may be your culprit.

Hi @Rashmi I'm in agreement with @Rashmi there's got to be something in the permission scheme's of the projects they can see.  Maybe it's not Any Logged in user, it could be jira_software_users .  The point is check your permission schemes and group assignments for these users.
